How to change a tyre

I think most people in the world know how to drive a car but at the same time many people don’t know how to change their tyre so today I am going to tell you how the tyre can be changed because it is very important to know.

First the car is parked in a safe place. Then the nuts are loosened and the car is jacked up. After that the nuts are removed and also the tyre. Next the spare wheel is put on and the nuts are tightened. Finally the car is lowered and the tools are put away and the car is ready to be driven.

I think it is easy to change a tire but at the same time it is exhausting and also it is dangerous if you are not careful while you are changing your tyre because you could be injured by the tools.

A Journey from Brunei to Sarawak

Thirty years ago, Hedley, with his wife Mary and daughter Katie, visited the Niah caves in Sarawak, East Malaysia. They traveled by car, boat and ferry.

They set off from Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei and drove to the border with Sarawak. They crossed two large rives by ferry, stopped in Miri for lunch and then continued to Niah, a small river township. Then they hired a small boat and sailed upriver to a government rest house, where they spent the night. They ate with the small group of scientists who lived in the rest house and shared the cold drinks they had brought with them in a cool box. It was a remote spot, deep in the jungle. They slept in bunk beds with no air conditioning. It was a novel experience.

The next morning, they walked along a jungle path for half an hour until they reached the Niah caves. Inside the caves, which were very high, they saw men who climbed up tall bamboo poles. The men wore lights on their hats because it was so dark. At the top of the poles they scraped off birds’ nests from the roof of the caves. The nests were collected by their mates on the cave floor and packed into sacks. These nests were later sold and made into bird’s nest soup, a Chinese delicacy.

That afternoon, they said goodbye to their new-found friends in the rest house and set off on the long drive home. It was quite an adventure and one they would never forget.

Last holiday

Last weekend was the longest weekend for this semester so I had planned for one of the days to go with my friend to Dubai Mall and another day with my family to Global Village.

On Friday I went to Dubai Mall with my friend. We went to Sega Republic and played many games. Then we went to the cinema and saw an action movie with Dwayne Johnson called Faster and it was a nice movie. After that we had dinner In the Gourmet burger restaurant in Marina Dubai Mall and the food was very delicious. It was a really nice day. On Sunday I went with my wife and daughter to Global Village. First we looked around and we saw two shows there; the first show was about African traditional dance and the second was about Indian traditional dance and it was quite nice. Then we had some shopping in some villages. Last we had dinner in Applebee’s restaurant which was very delicious. That day was quite nice for me because most of the time was shopping. On the other two days I spent my time at home watching TV programs and movies with my family.

At last I would say I really enjoyed the weekend. It was really a very nice weekend. I hope we have another one the same as this one.

Making orange juice

Orange juice is very healthy drink because it has a lot of vitamin C. I think most people in this world drink orange juice but, they don’t know how it is made. Today I am going to tell you how it is made.

First the fruit is unloaded and graded. Next it is washed and sized. Then it is extracted and the waste is fed to animals. After that it is evaporated at a high temperature for a short time and concentrated. Before it is shipped it is refrigerated in storage and canned in a machine. Finally before it is sent to the supermarket water is added to the concentrated juice.

I think it is along procedure but, it is not hard working because it is mostly done by a machine except two steps, the grading and shipping.

Comapare and contrast between the city and small town

In our world we have cities and small towns and living in them is completely different. But if you check between them also you will notice that there are a few similarities and today I am going to tell you what these differences and similarities are. Let me start with the similarities.

First both of them have medical services. Both of them have schools. They have police stations. Both of them have supermarkets and groceries. Also both have transport.

But when we come to the differences we find that there are a lot. First the city has many hotels and on the other hand the small town has not. The city has many clubs, like health clubs, dance clubs and sports clubs and the small town has not. For the cinema the city has many cinemas and the small town has not. The city has many very famous shops and the small town has not. The city has malls but on the other hand the small town has not. There are many tall buildings in the city which the small town has not.

At the end I want to say that living in a city is much better; there is more entertainment than the small town but there is one thing I like in the small town which is that it is quiet unlike the city which is very noisy but still I prefer the city for the entertainment.

UAE past and present

The UAE is a country which like other countries has a past and a present and if you check between them you will notice many differences and a few similarities. Today I am going to tell you what these differences and similarities are. Let me start with the similarities.

The similarities are, first the traditions are still the same, the dress is the same as before, dishdasha, gutra and sandals. The religion is still Islam and there are mosques now where they were also in the past. We have souqs the same as before. We have the same homemade foods like harees, maqboos and biryani.

At the same time there are many differences which I think are more than the similarities. Let’s start with restaurants; before there were a few restaurants and most of them were traditional restaurants but now there are many foreign restaurants. Also we have many shopping malls unlike before when there were no shopping malls. Before most of the land was sand and now it is covered with buildings and streets. There were no schools and colleges before. They were learning with the  Motaua reading the Quran and writing but now there are many developed schools, colleges and universities.

It is really very different from before. It is more beautiful, organized and developed. But I think the life before is more simple unlike today when it is complicated but still is better than before.

How to make butter

In our life we use food for eating and cooking and there are many types of food. One of the important foods in our life is the butter but from where does it come? Actually it comes from the cow’s milk but there are a few steps you should do to have the butter and these steps are as follows.

First check the milk for quality and fat content and it should be fresh but leave the milk to cool. Second you separate the cream and churn it. Then drain the buttermilk from the butter and place the butter in a jar. After that wash butter with cold water to remove the remaining buttermilk. Next add a small amount of salt for flavor. Finally cut and wrap the butter and store it in a fridge.

Did you see how to make butter? In my opinion it is a bit difficult and needs hard work so if you think to do it better to ask for help unless you think you can do it by yourself.

HOW TO USE AN ATM

ATM, what is an ATM? It is a machine where you are collecting your money but to collect your money from the ATM there are a few steps you should do. Let me tell you what these steps are.

First you go to any ATM and of course you must have your bank card with you. Second put your bank card in the ATM and you will see on the screen of the ATM is written choose your language so choose whatever you want. Next it will ask you to choose the service you want and of course you must choose money collecting. After that it will show you a few numbers of amounts. Simply you choose one of them or you can choose another amount and write how much you want but remember that the amount is limited. Finally you take your money.

Did you see how simple it is? It is very easy isn’t it? I think now you can do it by yourself next time.
